The most important information about EMO 2025 in Hanover
The Exposition Mondiale de la Machine Outil – EMO for short – is the world’s largest trade fair for machine tools and metalworking and is unsurpassed in terms of the breadth and depth of its range. It was held for the first time in Paris in 1975 and initially rotated on a biennial basis between Paris – Hanover and Milan. Since 2005, Paris has been excluded and the cycle is now limited to Hanover – Hanover – Milan. The event is organized by the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association) and the fair takes place under the auspices of the European Committee for Cooperation of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO ).
The number of exhibitors and visitors, as well as the size of the exhibition area, has continuously increased since then, not least due to technological progress and change in the metalworking industry. For 2025, the focus of the trade fair will be on metal forming and metal cutting, welding, surface and heat treatments, tools and components, robotics, metrology, assembly and quality control. The duration of EMO Hanover will be shortened from six to five days in future, so the dates for EMO 2025 have been set for September 22 to 26.
